ABOUT

Black and white portrait of a woman sitting on a stool, wearing a long-sleeved top and pants, with long hair and a thoughtful expression.

Jill is a North Carolina-based abstract artist whose work radiates emotional depth and quiet power. Rooted in instinct and driven by feeling, her creative process is both fluid and intuitive - often beginning with a brushstroke and unfolding something that surprises even her. Her studio space may be modest, but her imagination is vast: each piece reflects a moment in time, a shift in energy, or an internal evolution.

Inspired by a wide range of music - from cinematic orchestral compositions to evocative indie tones - Jill uses sound as a grounding force to access creative flow. Her art, much like her process, is unrepeatable: layered, expressive, and infused with intention. Viewers often descibe her work as something they can feel- moving, spacious, and soulful. While her pieces live beautifully in galleries and private collections, Jill envisions them one day in high end hotels and thoughtfully designed spaces where art becomes part of the experience.

She currently lives and creates in the Outer Banks.

Artist Statement: “I don’t always know what a painting will become, but I know when it feels right. I believe art doesn’t need to be understood - it needs to be felt. And if my work invites someone else to pause, to feel something true, then I know its done its job.”
